Running Shaadi.com' shooting wrapped up

The entire shooting schedules of Shoojit Sircar and Ronnie Lahiri's production venture ‘Running Shaadi.com’ has come to an end. The film is a romantic-comedy starring Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu. Amit Roy, who has previously worked as a cinematographer on films like Sarkar and Dum Maaro Dum is making his debut as director with this movie.

“Running Shaadi.com has been a fabulous experience with like-minded people coming together. I hope the audiences have as much fun as we had making the film," said Amit.

‘Running Shaadi.com’ revolves around a website which helps people elope and get married.


“We didn`t even realize when we started the shoot and when we finished it. Now, I can`t wait to watch the ready film on the big screen. It`s going to be a winner,” said Taapsee, who was last seen in ‘Chashme Baddoor’.

Veteran Actor Farooq Sheikh passes away

Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh, who was last seen in films like Club 60 and Ranbir Kapoor's blockbuster movie 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' died of a heart attack in Dubai. He was 65. He is survived by wife Rupa Jain and two daughters Shasta and Sanaa. The actor was in Dubai apparently for a concert when he suffered the heart attack on late Friday night. Farooq's body will be brought to Mumbai later in the day after completing the formalities in Dubai.

In his film career spanning 40 years, Sheikh has worked with some well-known directors including Satyajit Ray, Muzaffar Ali and Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The sheikh was best known for his roles in Shatranj Ke Khiladi, Chashme Baddoor (a film that was recently remade by David Dhawan) and Bazaar. He won the 2010 National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Lahore.

Aamir Khan says he has no interest in the Oscars

Bollywood Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan, who has just delivered the biggest grosser of all time in "Dhoom 3", said that he has no interest in getting an Oscar for his work. Khan, who avoids attending Indian awards functions has made a statement, “Oscar can't tell me whether my film is good or bad and I am not interested in that. My interest with Oscar is that it's an opportunity for a film to get a larger window to a larger audience.”

“Audience is unaware of your film, but if you manage to get nominated then there is a whole world out there who wants to see your film, who otherwise would not have known about your film. It’s an opportunity to get your film viewed by more people.”

Sonu Sood desires to dub for Sylvester Stallone

Sonu Sood, who has lent his voice for the Hindi dubbed version of the Hollywood film 'The Legends Of Hercules', wants to lend his voice for action star Sylvester Stallone. In a recent media interaction the 41-year-old said, "I have always been a huge fan of Sylvester Stallone. His films left an impression on me and I started exercising after seeing him. I would love to dub any of his films."

There were reports that earlier Akshay Kumar was approached to dub for the film.
When asked about it, Sanaa said, "I had also heard this. But Akshay is family and we have recently shot 'It's Entertainment' together. He is like an elder brother.
